Why Are So Many Having Success At Polaris Global?

Shawn Achor

I was reflecting this morning about the tremendous success so many have experienced as a result of starting their business with Polaris Global. A huge contributing factor is that of being connected to the community of people within the company. To be surrounded by successful people has a direct impact on the results a person will experience.

I was privileged to be sitting in the audience at one of our events with Shawn Achor presenting on stage. Shawn is the winner of over a dozen distinguished teaching awards at Harvard University, where he delivered lectures on positive psychology in the most popular class at Harvard.

Shawn shared with the audience that day that 25% of a persons success is attributed directly to their circle of influence. 25%!! So one could have all the skill level, all of the intelligence, the determination in the world in which to create results, however if they are associating with a negative group of people, they will fall short by at least 25%.

After thinking about this it sounded very logical. I’d just never been given a percentage as to how much of an impact ones direct circle impacts on ones results. Something that I have learnt to do over the years as an entrepreneur is to surround myself with those who are on purpose and of like mind. Winners! This job has been made even easier since getting started as a distributor with Polaris. I am blessed that every day I’m able to tap into our training calls and connect with winners. Thank you for contributing to 25% of my success!

Share with me your experience in regards to the community at Polaris

Thanks again Rachel for another great post. It’s like you singled me out in this one. I’m living proof of the successes one can achieve daily after completely changing the direction I was taking in my life.

I left a high stress senior management position in the government to regain my health, reconnect with my teenage children and learn to laugh and love again. I was surrounded by hard working well meaning people but the stresses of unrealistic deadlines and their negativity made for a toxic environment.

If I hadn’t opened up my mind and taken the lessons from Departure to heart, I would not believe one has the power to change their lives and make it what they want.

I’m so grateful that I found Polaris and now have a healthy and productive environment to thrive in everyday.

This is powerful knowledge and I am so grateful to be apart of such a positive and inspirational community contributing to my 25%!

What a WONDERFUL community of people, with a common purpose to expand our own and each others POTENTIAL to develop and grow. I am eternally GRATEFUL for this opportunity for expansion.

My experience with being involved in the Polaris Community is priceless. Being a young Mum and having not been in the workforce for the last six years I had always felt isolated. I had become way to dependant on my own Mum as my form of socializing and connecting with people. But since being here with Polaris my whole persona has changed for the better. I am now a strong and confident women.
I have made the most amazing friends within our Polaris Community and their support and belief in me has absolutely been a contributing factor to my success.

Hey Rachel, when I heard this first I was gobsmacked. A correlation to the fact was how little (and I mean this relatively) IQ had to play in the final result. I didn’t need to hear it but it was great. I’m not the shiniest coin in the fountain so there had be something else!
When I was in corporate or even with my friends, I was alwys looking to raise the bar. I became a pain in the behind with my ‘Why can’t we try this?’ attitude. Thankfully, I’m in great company here with Polaris Global where people are are always looking to up their game. You cannot but raise your own game too being in the company of such wonderful people.

  7. Carol King says:

Very true, Rachel. It is said that we become like the people we associate with. So we need to look carefully at the people we spend most of our time with. Do they have the right attitude? Do they inspire you? The people you associate with can have a significant influence on your life and “it can be good” or “it can be bad”. However, even with this influence we must always “be yourself”. Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of the 32nd American President said “Remember always that you have not only the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one, you can not make any useful contribution in life unless you do this.”

  8. Judith Symonds says:

Wow! I had never thought about how important to success influential friends can be although this is one of those things that inside of me somewhere I knew to be true. Thanks for bringing this thought top of mind for me today Rachel. I have a few books that definitely get the reader to think about surround yourself with positive people such as ‘You Go Girlfriend’ By Maureen Frank. However, personally it wasn’t until I started working on a book of entrepreneur’s stories earlier this year that I noticed what an effect interviewing people who were successful entrepreneurs had on me. I was struck most my the attitude that people had which was so different of the attitude of an employee – which was all I had know. This forced me to look at who I am and I realised that I come for a family of entrepreneurs. No-one from my blood line actually works as an employee. That was when I woke up and realised why I was so unhappy being an employee – when I was forced virtually to take a look at who I am. Thanks Rachel and Shane and Polaris Global. You guys are beautiful.

  9. Kathy Drury says:

I agree, Rachel, and it is not just being surrounded by successful people like yourself, although that is amazing enough. The community supports each other at every step, recognises our successes, encourages us when things don’t quite work and shares knowledge and experience with everyone equally. It is so different from the corporate world where it is generally every person for themselves and watch your back! I love being part part of the Polaris community!

  10. Di Martin says:

Thanks again Rachel for reminding us how truly incredible and I think unique the Polaris community is. I have never come across such a wonderful crew to work with – thank you one and all.

  11. Shawna Garcia says:

I am so grateful for the Polaris community. Over the past 2.5 years I have been working to get out of some financial messes that I created for myself. I can see the influence that the past group of people had on me (and probably me on them) and amazingly we all had similar financial messes. Coincidence :)…I know not. I looked at myself very closely after all of this started to unfold and I began to realize that I did not want to go down the same path as my then circle of influence. I have chosen to cut ties with people whom I did not want to be like and then I had to begin to change certain traits in myself. Every day I look forward to getting on the calls, they are helping me change and this is that I am not new to personal development. It has been a passion of mine for over a decade. With this group of people I feel inspired, uplifted and empowered to create miracles in my life. I am so grateful and yes things are still challenging but I have a new direction!

  12. Judy Germantis says:

I too Rachel was in that same room at one of our event and clearly remember Shawn Achor saying that! One of the greatest gifts we have here at Polaris is the community and support network with our training calls and events, these keep us connected. I remember from one of the previous businesses I was a part of quite sometime ago, someone once said to me, and it applies here. ~ “If you are not feeling great then YOU NEED to be on the training calls or at the events and if you are feeling great then the training calls or events NEEDS YOU…!!!” Staying connected is so important even when you don’t feel like; it can be just what you need to change your attitude. Rock on Polaris………..!

  13. Phil Tanguay says:

Amen – the fact is this community is what keeps me persisting without exception. As an entrepreneur life is often full of ups and downs which is a part of life. However, coming from a corporate background there was never any support there for me, especially for my kind of thinking, I always felt like the insane one. I was the weird thinker and yet I knew in my heart that I was on to something more meaningful. Then I found Polaris – a place where I could be myself, dream big and know that my new community would support me no matter what. In fact this community of spectacular human beings has lifted me up to new heights in my times of darkest challenge. There is no where else I would rather be than a part of this uplifting community. I love being a part of something bigger and that grows more beautiful every day. Thank you.

  14. Sally Rees says:

It is so true. Whenever I catch myself thinking negatively and watching my mood spiral downwards I know it is time to connect with my Polaris circle of friends, through our calls or on the skype chat groups. I am fully aware now that it is only me who can reverse that spiral and change the mood I’m in. Thanks also to the award winning Beyond Freedom Programme that I am working my way through daily. I am now looking out for like minded people to socialise with in my community as I know they will help to keep me on track also.

  15. Lisa Molina says:

I am so blessed to be a part of this community.
    Success is Contagious!!

With a high level of ethics and standards, for some people, it can seem unreal.
With the outpour of support and love, for some it can feel overwhelming.
and what I have noticed lately, with a raising the bar in the industry and operating at a high level of contribution, it can be like nothing you’ve seen before.

My philosophy is I will get as much out of the community I put in.
The community is a participation Sport! Just being in this game and in this environment puts one FAR AHEAD of the pack!

  16. Quite simply this is what sets Polaris apart from other business models in any industry!

  17. kym Kennedy says:

I am new to Polaris though not new to Personal Development. Being part of the Polaris community and doing my Beyond Freedom Evolution Program has exposed many personal truths for me. One of those is the effect of surrounding myself with a positive uplifting community . Being a part of Polaris is changing my life on a daily basis. I feel deep gratitude for all the wonderful people in the Polaris Community. You are all rocking my world, in a great and unexpected way.

  18. Leanne Oshea says:

I am grateful everyday for the highly motivated and positive people in the Polaris community. You are who you surround yourself with and my family is now benefiting from many who live with purpose, success, happiness and vision. I dont miss an event, training call or the opportunity to mastermind with leaders. l have gained so much personally and professionally from the principles in our products and the support from the community. So much to celebrate, so much excitment for the journey ahead. x

  19. an outstanding blog if i ever seen one. If you are the type to update your site daily, then you have gained one daily reader in me today. Please keep up the great work.

  20. Marley M says:

Hey great reminder post. Yeah your circle of influence makes a difference. Since coming here, i have realized that for myself. Sometimes life can get in the way, and unexpected stoppers come up but you have to eliminate them all like our bfe teachers us.
